Is my cat too thin?

My 11-year old cat eats all the time but remains too thin. We're currently feeding a hairball remedy food. Should we be feeding something with less fiber? Is there a high calorie food we should feed instead? He has a bit of a sensitive stomach so I don't know if this would help. What about a high calorie supplement? I think I've seen some of those.
I would recommend having your cat evaluated by your veterinarian. It is not uncommon for pets to appear thin to Pet Parents but actually be at a healthy body weight. If your vet feels that your cat is thin, it would be important to perform some blood tests to determine if there is an underlying reason for the lack of weight gain. Hyperthyroidism is not uncommon in cats and can certainly cause an otherwise healthy cat to be thin. Since there are multiple possibilities as to the cause, it will be important to have your cat fully evaluated.   In the meantime, you could try supplementing some canned food (in addition to the regular diet). I would recommend feeding a premium quality senior diet.
