Lucky and a Fish called Wanda

When you are  mom’s favorite, it’s always hard to cope with a new addition to the family. That’s exactly what Lucky is dealing with this week as I have added a new pet-dition to the family, a fish called Wanda. I named her that not just because of A Fish Called Wanda, but also because the woman who plays Wanda,Jamie Lee Curtis, is married to Lucky and my favorite actor, Christopher Guest, who did our most favorite movie, Best in Show. Wanda came from AquaBlock (TheAquaBlock.com), a website that sells Betta Fish aka Japanese Fighting Fish, or Puddle Fish in ethereal, compact, and calming containers. In a study published in Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, researchers found that pets in the workplaces improve work environment, and increase the mental health and mood of employees. If your workplace needs a mood enhancer,  we suggest getting a fish. Thankfully my mood at work is always calm because I have Lucky and now Wanda. This week Lucky and I stopped by the “digital groundbreaking” for the planned expansions at the American Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria. If you’re ever in New York I recommend you stop by the Museum of Moving Image. The museum is dedicated to advancing the understanding and appreciation of art, history, technique and technology of film, television and digital media. Even before its expansion it holds so many exhibits and shows over 500 films a year. You can even check out artifacts and memorabilia from your favorite pet-related (and non-pet-related) movies like a Lassie board game from 1955; a Rin Tin Tin postcard from 1928; the soundtrack to Bambi from 1942 and even a Fluppy Dogs lunchbox from 1986. Lucky told me that one day she hopes to have her own merchandise preserved in a museum one day. This week Lucky and I also shot Bishop, the proud  Maltese pooch of  NBC's  The Apprentice star Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth. Lucky surprisingly got along with Bishop, and I surprisingly got along with Omarosa.  No one got fired off the set! We also heard this week that  Animal Fair Magazine's  Most Eligible Pet owner, Miley Cyrus and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus found a lost dog this week in Los Angeles and returned it to its rightful owner…I hope Loco and Roadie didn’t get jealous.
